“Art allows me to turn energy and emotion into color, into form, into abstract rhythms that express what words can’t.” - Dominique Czerednikow
For Dominique Czerednikow—known to many as MizzD—color isn’t just a medium; it’s a philosophy, a language, and a portal into the soul. A self-taught artist, fashion designer, and creative explorer, MizzD merges technical skill with emotional depth, creating artworks and fashion pieces that pulse with energy, joy, and unapologetic vibrance.
Her artistic roots stretch back to a small-town childhood in Western Canada, where she spent enchanted hours in her grandfather Eugene Czerednikow’s rooftop studio, mesmerized by the scent of oil paint and the magic of creation. “He always had paper and colored pencils ready for me,” Dominique recalls, “but what I really wanted was to dive into his paints and create alongside him.” Those early memories remain the spiritual blueprint of her process today.

Since 2008, MizzD has worked in traditional oil painting, with a later embrace of digital painting tools like Procreate in 2018. This duality—bridging classic and contemporary—is central to her creative process. Her works begin in oil on canvas, created with layers of intentional brushstrokes, often grounded in Impressionist techniques and bursts of intuitive color. These tactile pieces are then either left as standalone artworks or become the foundation for digital exploration. With Procreate, Dominique enhances and reinterprets her paintings, experimenting with color balance, layering, and texture in a way that traditional media alone cannot always achieve.
“Creating art is about curiosity, risk, and transformation,” she says. “But it’s also my sanctuary—where I process all that I’ve absorbed, no matter where I am in the world. Art comes with me. It’s my compass, my anchor, and my way of healing.”

This synergy of tradition and technology reaches new heights through Dominique’s use of augmented reality (AR) and digital animation. Some of her digital works now come to life through poetic, motion-enhanced pieces that vibrate and evolve with viewer interaction. Her AR-animated digital art has been featured in international exhibitions in New York, Paris, Monaco, Milan, and Miami. Her entry into the NFT space—beginning with the Hackatao #REMIXME project—further pushes the boundaries of how art can be experienced and shared in the digital age.
At the heart of it all is color—rich, dynamic, and emotive. MizzD believes that surrounding ourselves with bright, alluring colors can nurture the spirit and transform the way we feel. “We all carry our inner child within us,” she explains. “As children, we live intensely, freely, without shame or fear. As we grow, we forget that. But when we reconnect with that child through color and creativity, we remember who we really are.”

In 2019, her passion for color and self-expression took another form with the launch of Chromatic Vibes, her fashion and textile collection born in France and crafted in Como, Italy. Inspired by her original oil paintings and enhanced through high-resolution digital imaging, the scarves are printed on the finest Italian silk and cashmere using cutting-edge printing techniques that preserve the vibrancy and texture of the original works.
“Each scarf begins as an oil painting—a pure, expressive moment,” Dominique says. “From there, I photograph the piece and digitally refine it, enhancing the colors and adjusting the scale and flow to suit the fabric. The result is wearable art that uplifts both the spirit and the wardrobe.”
