The Return Of American Fine Jewelry Craftsmanship

The Return Of American Fine Jewelry Craftsmanship

The Return Of American Fine Jewelry Craftsmanship

Not long ago, America was a country of craftsmen. To produce high-quality goods made with one’s hands was the American standard. Bixlers, America’s Oldest Jeweler, est. 1785, is reviving that standard.

Steadfast in their commitment to keeping all manufacturing in North America under one roof, the Bixlers certified-sustainable atelier is home to jewelry artisans from all over the globe. Each piece that passes through the Bixlers atelier is attended to by an expert in a specific discipline utilizing the finest sustainable materials.

With innovation as their inspiration, Bixlers’ artisans are cultivating a new American standard to rival the finest High Jewelry houses.

Innovation is not simply a design feature of a Bixlers piece, it is part of its legacy. Centuries ago, Bixlers was founded by a master clockmaker who applied the intricacy and precision of fine timepiece making to fine jewelry making.

Today, the Bixlers atelier applies these same principles to create understated works of superior quality to be purchased once and worn for generations.

Bixlers is a proudly independent, American-made legacy company, striving to create nothing less than the finest jewelry in the world, identifiable at first glance, and peerless in elegance, longevity, and wearability.

American Fine and High Jewelry craftsmanship has returned.

Drawing from the Bixlers tradition of fine timepiece making, the inner workings of each piece are as magnificent to behold as its outward appearance. The precious metal constructs are treated like a diamond, polished and finished to achieve above flawless grade, with no inclusions or blemishes.

Simplicity

What appears so simple in appearance requires metal casting in a vacuum-sealed, pressurized environment to form the metal into a precise shape. Polishing is done by hand and under microscope to achieve each piece’s thin and delicate appearance, resulting in a near-weightless and eminently comfortable wearing experience.

Each High Jewelry piece is as unique and rare as the gemstones that grace them. These one-of-a-kind pieces are built from the ground up and their design is entirely dictated by the stone and the inspiration it excites.

Multiple pieces, multiple finishes, multiple cuts, assembled as one, layered upon each other to create the next level of fine jewelry handcraft. Using techniques akin to shipbuilding, support structures are designed and cast in metal by Bixlers’ engineers. The metal support structures are designed to hold the complex architecture of the piece in place while microscopic finishing is applied. These structures are then carefully removed by hand to achieve the stunning symmetry found in geometric patterns.
